Size is 60 by 60 inches wide by 85 inches tall. Made of solid Birch or Oak Plywood.
All shipping is through Fed-Ex ground in packages under 75 lbs. insured and well protected.
It is made of 100% Plywood including the under side of the countertop to save weight in shipping. The countertop is 1 1/2 inches thick with two layers of 3/4 inch plywood glued and screwed together. It has an 2 inch hole with a black grommet in the back corner for wires. It also comes with a 3/4 by 2 1/2 backsplash to give it a finished look and hide your uneven wall. Pick your own countertop color Wilson Art or Formica at your local Home Depot or Lowes.
It has three upper cabinets 30 inches tall by 24 wide and one 30 inches tall by 36 inches wide. I use Blum full overlay hinges clip on so you can easily snap them off to move unit, or you may want to go "without doors." I router an indentation under the doors so you can open them without a knob. These are made of 3/4 inch plywood , I run the grain the same direction and pick the best grains for the fronts. I do offer 1/4 Birch backs on all the upper cabinets. Please ask for a quote if interested in backs
It has two lower cabinets 20x29x18 a double file cabinet and a cabinet with a pull out top for the bed or for special paperwork location. then below it a pencil and two 8 inch drawers. These all have high quality ball bearing drawer guides. Soft close is also avaiable. The keyboard pull out tray under the counter has a stop in it to hold it out while you are typing, works great.
I am selling this separate from the Panel Beds, so you can add on any Murphy Panel bed you want to make it fit your room. the twin is 44 inches wide the full is 59 and the queen is 64 add that to the sixty for the cabinet and you have the total width.
I sell the Panel bed with the soft close gas springs to fit this unit flush in the front at 20 inches deep. it is advisable to use a floating headboard then to lean up against to read, it also keeps pillows from falling between the wall and the mattress compartment. The 20 inch deep cabinet also gives a 4 inch ledge across the back to keep an alarm clock and the light switch.. recessed lights are available.
I built this unit to be modular and easy to disassemble and move so college students could use it in their dorm and take it with them when they graduate. Our Mom and Dad can take it back home for them selves.
